NetSilicon Selected by Datamax To Network Industrial and Retail Printing Applications.

NetSilicon, Inc. a subsidiary of Digi International announced today that the company's DPO4000, is shipping in Datamax's I- and W -Class industrial label printers. The DPO4000 provides the foundation for Datamax's DMXNet Print Server Card, an internal Network Interface Controller that enables the printer to provide Ethernet/Internet connectivity. The DPO4000 is based on NetSilicon's NET+ARM family of network-attached processors and its NET+Works development tools suite.

This partnership furthers NetSilicon's expansion into industrial printing applications. Datamax's label printers, used by some of the world's largest retail chains and department stores, are network-enabled, specialized printers used in retail distribution centers, and warehouses worldwide.
