Fed: Downer flies to South Korea today
Foreign Minister ALEXANDER DOWNER heads to South Korea today for top-level meetingsincluding with US Secretary of State COLIN POWELL.
Australia will tell the United States that the North Korean nuclear crisis can onlybe solved quickly if the US agrees to talk with Pyongyang.
Mr DOWNER says North Korea has told Australian officials the only arrangement they'reprepared to make is directly with the US.
Mr DOWNER/s has told the Nine Network that whether America likes it or not, there mustbe some bilateral negotiation.
