Tourism awards

The Roman Baths and the Bath Christmas Market have both beenshortlisted for tourism awards.

Both are finalists in South West Tourism Excellence Awards, whichpromote and reward the very best in the industry.

The council-run baths complex, fresh from a Pounds 5.5 millionfacelift, is a finalist in the Large Attraction category, where itfaces competition from Longleat, Castle Drogo in Devon, Bristol Zooand the Eden Project.

The Christmas Market, organised by Bath Tourism Plus, has beenshortlisted in the Tourism Event section, along with the BournemouthAir Festival, the Cornwall Food & Drink Festival, and the CheltenhamLiterature Festival.

The awards are being presented on November 15 in Torquay.
